What began as Ben Hughes’ raw singer-songwriter project has evolved into a cinematic trio, blending rust-belt nostalgia with the melodic ache of bands like Death Cab for Cutie and Bright Eyes. From the bittersweet intimacy of their early work to the soaring, collaborative layers of 2025’s Nonsense, the New Jersey-based outfit captures the beauty in the mundane struggle. Ben Hughes will be in for a solo set this night.

You may know Brian Rothenbeck and Jay Gogel as two-fourths of the indie rock band The Adventuring Party. However, sometimes they detour from the main campaign to embark on a Side Quest. Instead of playing stripped-down acoustic versions of TAP songs, they instead create a mixtape for their audience of songs that they love, with the occasional original peppered in. Each set is designed to capture the feeling of popping in a Maxell 60-minute with a personally decorated J-card and listening to the new tape from your crush. It’s not a cover band; it’s asking to be invited into your hearts through your ears.
