Toll Collectors
Christina Alessi and the Toll Collectors are a quintet led by a seasoned storyteller who sings from the heart. We counted off our first song in late 2014 in a former industrial building on the Jersey side of the Holland Tunnel. They say that friends are the family you choose, and our music is an extension of our bond.

Do you like puzzles, alcohol and prizes? If so, join us for Puzzle Wars! A completely not-at-all-serious puzzle building competition. Play in teams up to 4 people and try to finish a 300 piece jigsaw puzzle for a chance to win a Gift Card to Flounder Brewing! Everyone who completes their puzzle will be eligible to win the big prize in a drawing at the end of the night.
We'll also throw in absurd mini challenges (there may be a blindfold or a Rubik’s Cube involved). Winners of the Mini Challenges will get a special prize and a chance to SABOTAGE other teams. We give out special SABOTAGE Cards to keep everyone on their toes. Playing dirty can be fun.

The second AND fourth Thursday of EVERY month! That means its time for our Irish Seisiún! What is an Irish Seisiun?
Unlike a performance, the musicians at a seisiún are playing for enjoyment as much for each other as for anyone who comes to listen.
Pours & Ponytails
Join other Dad's in the loft with some beers and learn from some experts how to make the perfect ponytail and braids for your daughter! Taught by instructors from the Somerset County Vocational Technical High School you'll have your very own mannequin head with hair to work with as the instructors guide you through the proper steps. All while sipping on a beer in the company of dads just like you!
Eli Lev
Eli is a critically-acclaimed singer-songwriter and internationally-touring musician, an entrepreneur, a mobile lifestyle pioneer, a community leader, a son, and a friend. He is a storytelling songwriter who brings to his work a universal spirituality informed by a variety of belief systems. Eli’s Jewish upbringing, his transformative experiences with Indigenous people, and his study of Buddhism shine through his uplifting songwriting.
Widely Grown
Widely Grown is an Americana/AltFolk band from Jersey City, New Jersey. Widely Grown released their debut album in the summer of 2022 and toured 9 states to follow.

We first heard Sam Brown when she joined JM Clifford for some bluegrass at the Barn and her voice simply blew us away. We welcomed her back for a solo acoustic Friday to showcase her originals and now she is back for a full band show on a Saturday! This group KILLED it last year Father’s Day weekend, so much so that we had to have them back this year! Maribyrd puts together an amazing lineup of the areas finest musicians to bring songs you know to life like you’ve never heard before. Powerhouse vocals, killer harmonies, and musicianship that is simply incredible to watch - and listen to! Line-up IS subject to change but as of right now it is the same.

Juliana Frangella is a singer/songwriter from New Jersey inspired by nearly every decade of rock and roll.
Barry Rich is an indie-folk singer-songwriter currently based in New Jersey, though he has lived and travelled across most of the U.S. This transitory aspect of his life colors his songwriting.

Join us at the Barn for a Vinyl Night with Revilla Grooves & Gear at Flounder Brewing! The crew from Revilla will be rolling in with their pop-up shop and a few crates of incredible vinyl for you to dig through (all available for purchase) — including some hard-to-find favorites you might not be able to leave without.
Each pop-up vinyl night will feature its own special theme, so keep an eye on our socials as we get closer to see what’s spinning into the spotlight. We’ll be dropping the vinyl you bring with you, and the ones you purchase from Revilla.
And this isn’t just shopping…while you browse and sip, we’ll be dropping other classic records on our full audio setup inside the 250-year-old barn set atop our stage. Joey Affatato & Sarah Maureen
Joey Affatato is a folk-punk singer-songwriter from Hamilton, NJ, blending storytelling with raw energy. He’s released music with The Ramparts Rebel and The Carousers, performed at Pouzza Fest in May 2024, and played with punk veterans like The Cryptkeeper Five and Argyle Goolsby. Inspired by Springsteen, Frank Turner, and Brian Fallon.
Sarah Maureen is an emerging singer-songwriter from New Jersey who harnesses infectious melodies and gut-punching lyrics to create a sound that is entirely her own. From heartfelt piano ballads to fun folk-pop hits, she has a song to meet any moment.
Strangebrew Crew
The Strange Brew Crew, based out of Lambertville, NJ, plays a wide variety of songs from early rock and roll legends and today’s musicians via a wide range of musical genres including rock, surf, country, blues and more rock and roll. The band’s current set lists include songs by classic artists such as The Doors, Cream, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles, as well as more contemporary artists such as The Black Keys, Jack Johnson, Foo Fighters, and The Goo Goo Dolls.

The Adventures of Matte Black is a hardworking and deep thinking Factory Western Gothic Americana Steampunk Folk Rock band led by NJ native Madison Gerish & Maryland based Daniel Skinner, featuring a rotating line-up of their intrepid traveling friends. With an emphasis on original music, Madison's philosophical, vulnerable and disarming compositions dance with Daniel's subtle, yet moving melodies, all while leaving space for their talented caravan of musical comrades. The original music is rooted in deep improvisation and an emphasis on being courageous when facing the absurdities of life.

Anthony Walker has built a consistent reputation as one of the most reliable and incisive songwriters in New Jersey for the better part of the last two decades.

At Flounder, we love using those few 5th Thursdays a year as an excuse to shake things up in the Barn. We’ve done MarioKart nights… and now it’s time for something new.
We know live music is a huge part of what makes Flounder special — from concerts to open mic — but what about the people who can really sing and don’t play an instrument? Or the people who can’t sing at all, but still absolutely love grabbing a mic and having a blast?

The Fermenters Trio
The Fermenters Trio features Chris Lelli on guitar, Seth Mandel on fiddle and mandolin, and Larry Ghiorsi on upright bass.
Drawn from sources both old and new, their music offers a heady mix of alt folk, bluegrass, roots rock, country, and eclectic originals. It's stomp and holler with all the blended vocal harmonies of the Americana musical tradition. Their sound embraces the dynamics of bluegrass and gospel, the fire of indie folk, and the passion of the blues.
Mike Oregano
Truly a unique act unlike anything yet, Mike Oregano has fully commercialized both the aesthetic and sonic details of the "One Man Band" concept. Performing in a unique Reggae/Hip Hop/Jazz style, he is sure to turn heads wherever he is rockin’!
Mike uses his feet to hit the drums as well as an array of fully intuitive pedal boards complete with: loopers, bass splits, synthesizer sounds, etc. He records the rhythm section (guitar and bass) on the spot, and layers over it with drums, solos, fills, etc. all while singing, rapping, or talk boxing, and soloing on his guitar simultaneously.

Tony and The Trees is a soulful Americana blues funk band with deep roots in the Somerset County soil!
Ben Clark
Ben Clark has been writing and performing music over half his life. A southern Indiana native, he has lived in NYC for over a decade, performing at iconic venues such as The Cutting Room, Sony Hall, Granmercy Theatre, High Line Ballroom, and Radio City Music Hall. He has composed two musicals, and won the Kennedy Center National Musical Theatre Award for The Circus in Winter. His songs “Red” and “Hallucinate” were featured in the 2019 film A Score to Settle starring Nicolas Cage. Ben’s music is a blend of folk, rock, and Americana, about the passage of time, the weight of age, and the pursuit of passion. He is happiest on stage, playing new songs and old, for people looking to live in the moment, not knowing what story might come next.

Owen Walsh
Owen Walsh has been telling stories and performing music his entire life. Born and raised on the banks of the Lackawaxen River in Honesdale, Pennsylvania—a small, historic coal-mining town that spawned the American railroad—Owen grew up surrounded by relics of 19th Century American life and imagery ripe for musical exploitation. More than his hometown’s history, however, Owen fell in love with the natural beauty of Northeast Pennsylvania. Kayaking the Delaware River, spying on raptors through binoculars, clambering up and down the native magnolia and oak trees, and spending endless hours out in the woods with his yellow lab mix, Allie.
