Night Windows creates wood-grained indie rock for the long drive home. What began as Ben Hughes’ raw singer-songwriter project has evolved into a cinematic trio, blending rust-belt nostalgia with the melodic ache of bands like Death Cab for Cutie and Bright Eyes. From the bittersweet intimacy of their early work to the soaring, collaborative layers of 2025’s Nonsense, the New Jersey-based outfit captures the beauty in the mundane struggle. Ben Hughes will be in for a solo set this night. 

Brian Rothenbeck & Jay Gogel: Side Quest

“The making of a great compilation tape, like breaking up, is hard to do and takes ages longer than it might seem. You gotta kick off with a killer, to grab attention. Then you got to take it up a notch, but you don't wanna blow your wad, so then you got to cool it off a notch. There are a lot of rules.” -High Fidelity 

You may know Brian Rothenbeck and Jay Gogel as two-fourths of the indie rock band The Adventuring Party. However, sometimes they detour from the main campaign to embark on a Side Quest. Instead of playing stripped-down acoustic versions of TAP songs, they instead create a mixtape for their audience of songs that they love, with the occasional original peppered in. Each set is designed to capture the feeling of popping in a Maxell 60-minute with a personally decorated J-card and listening to the new tape from your crush. It’s not a cover band; it’s asking to be invited into your hearts through your ears. 

Michael Lawlor has been tearing up the tri-state music scene since the early 80's. His playing runs the gamut of soulful sultry blues to blistering fiery liquid lightning riffs. His first place win at the Guitarmageddon national competition in 2000 brought him more notoriety, seeing him open for Stone Temple Pilots at the Avalon Ballroom in Boston. Next, Fender flew him out to their Custom Shop in Corona California to build him a self-designed one of a kind Stratocaster. You can catch Michael playing at many venues around the area with his Mike Lawlor Banned, and more recently with a new horn / soul / funk group- MalFunktion, as well as numerous fill-in roles for the many bands in the northern NJ scene.

We are kicking off this year’s festivities with the one and only Flounder’s Brass Band playing all those Bavarian favorites!

5 to 8 p.m. = THE ADLERS BAND

One of the top Oktoberfest bands in the country at the Flounder barn!

The Adlers band, established in September 1979, has become one of the best Oktoberfest bands in the country. With members Barry, Eddie, Anthony, Joe, Nick, Bobby, and Katya, they fuse Polka, Rock, and Country creating a unique and lively sound that captures the spirit of celebration, And Brings a party Experience like No Other.

The original trio was formed by founder and rhythm guitarist Adi Adler, along with singer, manager, and “band mother” Tina Adler, and their son Barry, who plays the accordion. The Three Amigos circa 2018 Barry, Eddie Spatarella, and Anthony Delbagno, the three amigos from Newton High School, were the beginning of the bands second chapter. Eddie became their renowned drummer and added additional vocals shortly after the band was established. Anthony came on board in 1989 as Rhythm guitarist, Bass Guitarist and vocalist.

The Adlers Band originated from Austrian and German Alpine music, evolving over time with the inclusion of musicians like Tony Szurka, a top Polka band leader from New Jersey. As musical tastes changed into the new millennium, the band adapted by maintaining its timeless core repertoire while also incorporating Party Rock music to meet modern demands. The Adlers Band with Joe, Nick and Bobby, circa 2023 Throughout the 2010s, Joe Mariany, retired West Point US Army musician, joined us, infusing it with his lively talent on the saxophone, clarinet, bass guitar, and vocals. In 2022, guitarist Nick Conte brought along with him country, Rock, and Irish elements, including fiddle and Bagpipes, enhancing the band's evolving sound and adding another layer to their rich vocals (including yodeling). He introduced us to Bobby Baxmeyer, retired Broadway musician, exceling in banjo, fiddle, saxophone, guitar, Vocals and more. View fullsize Our newest recruit, Katya Adler (Barry’s daughter), has made a significant impact by enhancing our vocal performances with her harmonies and introducing a distinctive female flair. She continues the legacy of traditional music that her grandparents originally showcased. To add to the family involvement, Carlton, Barry’s son, takes role as road manager and has ensured our safety getting to and from events.

We are celebrating the kick-off of Fall and the end of our 13th anniversary weekend with a killer of a Sunday celebrating all things Ag!

We are releasing our Drunkin’ Pumpkin collab with Norz Hill Farm while our neigbors at Bellemara are releasing a Pawpaw Liqueur using pawpaw’s from Thistle Bird Farms - the farm right at the end of our road who will ALSO be setting up a popup market in front of the Brewery with various ag right from their farm. Then we also welcome FED Hospitality for a (again) rescheduled Asado due to the rain on the past planned days. They will be incorporating some special things sourced from Thistle Bird - advance tickets are required for the Asado.

The Adventures of Matte Black is a hardworking and deep thinking Factory Western Gothic Americana Steampunk Folk Rock band led by NJ native Madison Gerish & Maryland based Daniel Skinner, featuring a rotating line-up of their intrepid traveling friends. With an emphasis on original music, Madison's philosophical, vulnerable and disarming compositions dance with Daniel's subtle, yet moving melodies, all while leaving space for their talented caravan of musical comrades. The original music is rooted in deep improvisation and an emphasis on being courageous when facing the absurdities of life.

Veteran troubadour Brad Heller’s new single "Incinerating Miles" is a well-worn road song, a hand-rolled hit of working-class Americana that draws as much from Dylan and Dire Straits as it does Son Volt & Springsteen. Burning like a cigarette ember out of a car window in the dark, it's about the American highway as a means for outrunning and temporarily escaping profound loss.

The Strange Brew Crew, based out of Lambertville, NJ, plays a wide variety of songs from early rock and roll legends and today’s musicians via a wide range of musical genres including rock, surf, country, blues and more rock and roll. The band’s current set lists include songs by classic artists such as The Doors, Cream, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles, as well as more contemporary artists such as The Black Keys, Jack Johnson, Foo Fighters, and The Goo Goo Dolls.
