ABOUT MARSHALL’S DIXIELAND JAZZ BAND (performing 1 to 4 p.m.)
Celebrating New Orleans Jazz
Some bands form quickly for commercial reasons. Others come together organically over time, by forces of nature.
Marshall's Band is the latter -- a group of talented musicians (and friends) dedicated to the craft of original music, played on the original instruments.
Marshall's uses little or no amplification, and written music is optional if used at all, so every tune is a unique creation formed around the other musicians, the audience and the mood. If you love original Trad style New Orleans jazz, consider booking Marshall's Band for your party, wedding, jazz festival ... or whatever.

ABOUT MIGHTY RUMBLE (performing 6 to 9 p.m.)
The Mighty Rumble Brass Band is the latest project from acclaimed saxophonist Craig Yaremko, “an artist who...has a powerful musical personality” (Newark Star-Ledger), and whose latest recording was hailed as “pure magic” (Jazziz). Inspired by a recent trip to New Orleans, Yaremko, a veteran performer on the New York-area jazz scene for more than two decades, has assembled a multi-generational band, who embrace the joyful exuberance of the Crescent City, and combined it with the attitude and soul only found in New York area.
A show with the Mighty Rumble includes New Orleans classics from the Rebirth Brass Band, Dr. John and The Meters, plus adaptations from the likes of Bob Marley, Amy Winehouse, and Bruce Springsteen, as well as funky, accessible, and always crowd-pleasing originals.
