Bag Lady was originally a side project for Trevor O'Connor's (Dr. Scientist) twangier side, but after finishing the recording of a full record and moving from New Jersey to Austin, TX, he realized he had something with his country/funky/rockin’/twangy, fun sound. It became clear that a band needed to be formed to take this party to bigger stages. He formed a band in Austin, Texas and began playing around town developing a reputation for musicianship, jams and a helluva party. The debut LP, Lullabies & Goodbyes arrived in May of 2019.  Fast forward to the changing of times the pandemic of 2020 brought, Trevor moved back to New Jersey and began gigging solo, as well as assembling a new group of player under the same name, while also re-igniting Dr. Scientist, sometimes interchanging the personnel of the two.  Presently weaving through both groups while also playing solo, Trevor O’Connor enjoys the diversity flipping musical hats brings, while also the connection within the musical family he’s surrounded himself in.
