FRIDAY Gig advance
dB Monitoring: We have a good relationship with our neighbors, however one house has complained here and there in the past about volume of music. We do monitor dB levels inside and outside as we try to create a standard to follow to avoid an issue where the neighbor formalizes their complaints as opposed to calling us right now. So that will explain why you see a dB meter behind the bar. If a Team Member or Owner asks to bring it down that is also why, we want to make sure we can keep bringing music to the Barn! Also do not worry, it doesn’t mean a whisper, it just means being mindful and out of the hundreds of nights of music we have had in 4 years so far their complaints have only been a small handful.
We are really excited for you to come to the barn to perform! If you are using our PA, please read everything below so you know what we can provide and what to expect. We do NOT engineer for you. We will set up the PA with the mixer behind you. No team members are trained on use of the PA. If you change your mind and prefer to bring your PA, please tell us in advance. Often the owners Jeremy or Billy are there who know the system but this is not guaranteed.
Team Members won’t be able to provide additional equipment the evening of (often the owners are here and they can help, but it is not guaranteed).
We will have set-up:
Channel 1 - SM58
