JAWS - Live on Stage!

  • Flounder Brewing Co. 2 Clerico Ln Building 4 Hillsborough, NJ 08854 United States (map)

There is a creature still alive today. It has survived millions of years of evolution without change. Without passion. And without logic. It lives to kill. A mindless, eating machine. It will attack and devour ANYTHING. It’s as if God created the devil, and gave him... JAWS!

That's right, folks, on Tues. July 1, Hillsborough is Amity Island and Flounders Brewing is the good ship Orca, when Alex Dawson returns with his summer hit, JAWS! Not just in 3D, but LIVE! On Stage! Join us as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of America's first blockbuster.

ABOUT: Based on the bestselling novel by New Jersey native Peter Benchley and the hit film by Steven Spielberg, Raconteur Radio's blood-tingling presentation about a killer white with the cunning of a U-boat commander stars Jeff Maschi as both Sheriff Brody, a cop looking for redemption, and Captain Quint, a grizzled veteran of both war and water; Chris Wolfe as oceanographer Matt Hooper, a soft handed man desperate to show the world (and Quint) he's butch enough to take down the big fish; and Michael Jarmus as Mayor Vaughn, a smarmy local politician who refuses to acknowledge the threat, and assorted other characters.

WITH: costumes, theatrical lighting, music, fog machine, and, of course, extensive sound effects.

RUN TIME: 55 mins. Doors at 6:00 to enjoy some drinks before the show at 7:30!

Alex Dawson and Raconteur Radio stage theatrical presentations of vintage radio plays, classic works of literature, and pop culture parodies for live audiences throughout the Tri-State area.

A note from Flounder: When I first was presented this concept by Alex I had no idea what to expect. But knowing the great story teller Alex was I agreed to give it a shot with Twin Peaks back in February. I never event watched Twin Peaks…but I was absolutely impressed by the production. The actors were amazing, the entire concept of old time radio show production mixed with some modern theatric touches just really brought the story to life. I really encourage you to check this out, it is absolutely worth it and you will be supporting some amazing actors and a unique vision in art.
